Reminder, Nov. 4 City, School elections
The combined city/school election will be held November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.–8 p.m. In Linn County, voters will go to their General Election polling locations. Mail Ballots
Approximately 1,750 mail ballots have yet to be returned in Linn County. Voted mail ballots must be received by the Auditor’s Office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day to be accepted. A deposit safe is available at 935 2nd St. SW, Cedar Rapids to return your ballot.
Early Voting
Eligible electors may cast an absentee ballot in person at the Auditor’s Office or Lindale Mall prior to Election Day:
- Auditor’s Office (935 2nd St. SW in basement) 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Lindale Mall (4400 1st Ave. NE near Children’s Play Area)
- Wednesday–Saturday 11 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
- Sunday noon–5 p.m.
Results
Unofficial election results will be posted on the Linn County Elections website LinnCountyIowa.gov/Vote as results are returned. Write-in votes will be reviewed, compiled, and reported for contests exceeding the scattering threshold (5%) by end of day, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
